Culinary Week in Villa Velleron 

 

 

Upon special request and usually before and after Easter your hosts offer a special culinary program to guide you through the sensual delights particular to Provence.


Below you find the contents of the 2009 Spring course devised by Claudia and Christian.

 

Course I started on 28-March (arrival) and ended on 4-April (departure),


Course II
went from 18-April through 25-April.

     
Saturday (28-March / 18-April)
  - Arrival in the afternoon
- 16:30 visit to the local farmers market (for those present)
- Aperitif/cocktail
- Common dinner, prepared by Claudia
Sunday (29-March / 19-April)
- 9:30 visit to antiques market in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (optional)
- Class “The Art of Desserts”
- Dinner, desserts prepared by participants
Monday (30-March / 20-April)
- Class “The Duck in its Sauce”, followed by a duck-sampling lunch snack
- Visit to local nougatier “Sylvain Frères”
- Common dinner, prepared by Claudia
Tuesday (31-March / 21-April)
  - Free morning
- Class with focus on starters and appetizers
- Dinner, starters prepared by participants
Wednesday (1-April / 22-April)
  - Wine tasting and introduction to wine making at a Provencal chateau
- Common dinner, prepared by Claudia
Thursday (2-April / 23-April)
  - Free morning
- Lunchtime cheese tasting seminar
- Class “Fish as fresh as it gets”
- Dinner, fish course assisted by participants
Friday (3-April / 24-April)
  - Olive oil sampling at traditional oil mill at Les-Baux-de-Provence
- Class "Provencal vegetable at its best"
- Festive closing dinner, prepared ensemble
Saturday (4-April / 25-April)
  - Farewell and departure (or extension of your stay, following your own program)

Conditions & Rates

Conditions
  The agenda as outlined above may be subject to minor adjustments. This class will be conducted with a minimum of 3 active participants and a maximum of 8. Why not arrange for a group inscription with your friends? While this is a 1-week course, side entries are possible upon request. Accompanying, non-cooking spouses/partners are most welcome.
  In order to avoid misunderstandings: Villa Velleron continues to be open for guests that want to spend their vacation in Provence without participating in this course.
Rates
  € 150/day for 1 participant in a double room Includes: 7 dinners + all activities for 1 person
  € 175/day for 1 participant + spouse/partner sharing a double room Includes: 7 dinners + all activities for 1 person, 7 partner dinners
  € 200/day for 2 participants sharing a double room Includes: 7 dinners + all activities for 2 persons
  Accompanying spouses/partners are welcome to participate in individual non-cooking activities at a nominal fee.
